Nurturing women data scientists- International womens day

Yesterday Leila Etaati and I ran a  Azure Machine Learning workshop for Women Data Scientists in Auckland.

The topics covered in this workshop are as below

  • Introduction to Machine Learning
  • Setting up development environment
  • AzureML Experiments using AML Studio and AML Designer
  • Develop and Consume AzureML Models
  • Automated Machine Learning
  • Introduction to R and Python 
  • AML in Python Notebook
  • Evaluate model performance in AML
  • Azure ML Batch Score, Retrain, Production and Automatization
  • Recommendation System
  • Azure Cognitive Services Overview


About 16 women attended this workshop and there were great discussions initiated by few of the participants.  Thanks to Sydhir Rawat from Microsoft for the opportunity.  In the end each participant were given a book "Invisible Women"
